If you are looking forward to grabbing a few drinks in a quiet place with your mates in a quiet but nice and intimate venue, then the best place for you is probably Lakota. But if you instead fancy a wild and rowdy night in three-tiered nightclub in which to have a good old skank, then, this place is your best bet.
Long time ago, Lakota was one of the most famous clubs in the UK, known for featuring Superstars of house, techno and jungle from across the UK and around the world. Blue Mountain Club
Similar to Blue Mountain in Jamaica after which it was named, after more than 10 years of service this Stokes Croft club is very much alive and is not ready to give up. As most other venues are trying to appeal to the masses, Blue Mountain stays true to its roots in a humble and reassuring way. Two rooms and a large covered outdoor terrace are linked by a helical, narrow staircase. When the dance floor gets packed the crowd overflows to the terrace. The venue could do with a good revamp, but this isn't a club you visit to show off your designer clothes, but rather a place to rave and go wild!

Basement 45
Just below the chain bar Armageddon of Park Street, in between a couple of gay bars and across the road from the O2 Academy, this underground den of bass and beats is a rare spot where decent dance music can be heard. Years back when it first opened, B45 suffered from a saturation of dark D&B nights but these days, it has a notably a more diverse musical playlist.
