Berlin has 2 faces: historical and eventful by day, underground and obscure by night. Little after the Berlin wall fall, the city became the world techno capital where many dilapidated and abandoned industrial warehouses were transformed into temples of techno and DnB. If you are into this sort of music, Berlin is the place to be. If not, do not worry My Party Bible compiled a party list with different music genres.

Berghain

Party and club at the Berghain

Easily the city’s most famous club – and some would say the world’s best – Berghain is not just for world-class techno, but an institution seen by many as the world reference. Established within an imposing old power station. Even if you are not the seasoned clubber, you will be impressed by the open atmosphere, the hedonistic vibe, but mainly by the extremely well preserved industrial fabric of the building and, of course, the humongous sound system.

Beware of the very strict door policy in place, at it is renowned for being difficult to get in. Many got rejected even after waiting for 3 hours in the cold. Here are some tips for you: Do not go in big groups, do not dress with fancy clothes, maintain a low-profile in the queue and most impotantly make sure you know what you are getting into. Oh, and don’t dare to take your phone out of your pocket as phone are not appreciated. Have you seen many pictures of the inside?

Vast indoor and outdoor spaces at this former dog biscuit factory help create a festival-like atmosphere that’s pitch-perfect for sunny weekends.

The enormously grand setting will leave you breathless, but only a small portion of all that space is in use. Of all the plans drawn out to fully utilize the space for art and cultural purposes, only the neighbouring site for OHM Performance and trials for massive music festivals like the Berlin Atonal have been implemented.

Also, since it is only minutes away from the strategically-placed Frankfurter Allee, it is gradually making a name for itself in Friedrichshain due to its lenient entry policy.

With two stories of an array of speakers from Kling and Freitag and Adamson, Void is attempting to assert its claim as one of Berlin’s most solid hotspots for hardcore sound.
