thistle. is an alternative rock band from Northampton, UK. In their writing, the trio pull influence from indie-punk and the heavier corners of shoegaze. Formed in 2023, the band have experimented consistently with their sound and are now set to release their debut EP in 2025.

Laughter’s sound is a mess of influences that range from Bad Brains to The Cocteau Twins and Nine Inch Nails. Their juxtaposition of crushing post-punk guitar noise and eerie dream-like vocals has earned them a reputation as one of Londons loudest, most exciting emerging live acts.
Laughter’s chaotic debut show at Dalston's Shacklewell Arms cemented their place in the scene and they have since shared the stage with Deeper (Sub Pop), Man/Woman/Chainsaw, Flyying Colours, Trash Boat, thisle., Mould and Twen. Their live rep, combined with the release of their first EP “Group Bonding’ lead to selling out their debut headline show at Paper Dress Vintage in Hackney.
